Meet the RM Credit Cards Team
Scott Hastings, CPA, CMA
Scott Hastings is a CPA with many years of experience in all aspects of finance after graduating from Wilfrid Laurier University with a degree in Honours Business.
Scott spent 4 years at Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PWC)in their financial audit and advisory division. Based in Canada, his work with PwC brought him to oil and gas audits in Houston, Texas as well as financial services work in both Orlando and Tampa, Florida.
After leaving public accounting Scott ventured out on his own to launch his first business. That business had a successful exit and he stayed on post sale as part of the management team. Scott stayed with that group and one of the highlights was being able to scale to over 200 full time employees in less than 6 months.
Scott has experience with raising money for his companies, buying a house, paying off student debt, still does his own tax returns and is working toward his retirement and college funds for his children.
He’s excited to bring his unique experience to RM Credit Cards and to help people make informed financial decisions.
Derek Lebert, CPA, CA
An experienced entrepreneur and financial leader, Derek began his professional career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he worked in the tax and audit departments. Over the last decade, Derek has worked with private technology companies in various senior roles and has had participated in several acquisitions and fundraising efforts. In 2013, he launched his own successful business (a brewery) and has since been involved in other ventures.
Derek has a vast set of experiences and expertise; and is excited to bring that to the site.
Dorathy Gass
Dorathy Gass graduated from York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with a Bachelor of Arts that focused on Economics and Mass Communications. After university, she worked for one of the largest financial institutions in Canada for close to a decade. More recently, Dorathy has focused her attention on fundraising for non-profits, and has worked hard on her own freelance writing business.
She continues to be fascinated with the world of finance, and how daily spending and saving habits can affect a household’s bottom line and financial future.
